Re: Guinea Pig has surgery tomorrow
Hope it goes well. It's nice that she has Sapphire with her too, I'm sure it will give her some comfort

Good luck and fingers crossed. I'm sure she'll be fine. Well done for spotting the polyp!

Always best for them to have their friend with them. Hope the op. has gone well.

Re: Guinea Pig has surgery tomorrow
Willow is hilarious sometimes. Apparently, Sapphire was more annoyed at being at the vets for a good part of the day than Willow was! The op went as well as it could. I put her and Sapphire back in their home and left them for 30min to get settled in, and when I came back Willow was already eating! She then helped herself to her veggies, so the pain meds the vet gave her seem to be working well.
Here I was thinking I'd be getting a groggy, grumpy pig with an equally as annoyed companion. Instead Willow is resting in a tunnel with a full belly as I type this and Sapphire is munching away. Brilliant!

Re: Guinea Pig has surgery tomorrow
The following morning Willow still looks fine and Sapphire is still grumpy, though that may be because they think they're going to get taken to the vets for the third morning in a row. Willow has a checkup tomorrow and on the 19th May, and after that I guess we'll see how things go.
I couldn't be happier with how Willow is recovering. I'll let you guys know how the vet checkups go and if anything changes.
