Thankyou so much everyone. These last couple of weeks have been really tough.

For those of you who can't keep up (i can just about...) my current rats are: Albus, Sirius, Draco and Neville. Along with my girls: Robyn, Roo, Elsie, Freya, Faye and my seven recent rescues: Nova, Pippin' and Poppin' (Pip and Pop), Luna, Layla, Lulu and Lola (don't think i announced all their names together as it took me forever to name them all)

I'm hoping to do a little photoshoot with them all soon to get pictures of each of them. Though with the seven it will be hard as they are still quite skitty! So may have some poor excuses for photos! But it will be fun

Albus is booked in to be neutered on the 29th, he is bullying his cagemates so has sincebeen seperated. He is very upset at the moment but cannot be re-introduced to them until he is done as he is a danger to them at the moment.

Oh, thanks a bunch, Hrl! You have so many cuties so I somehow must have missed reading that you gave names to Pippin, Poppin, Layla, Lulu, and Lola. You chose such great and playful names for all of your rat pals, btw. How impressive!

I will be looking forward to seeing your wonderful photo shoot whenever you are feeling more up to it and your rats are in the mood, of course. No worries, there could never be a photo of rats that wasn't just amusing and wonderful to look at so have plenty of fun with it.

Take care of yourself, Hrl. I know it must have been incredibly tough for you lately after what you have been through with your rat family. You and all of your animals are in my thoughts and prayers. I will also be hoping that Albus's surgery goes well, he has a complete and speedy recover, and he will be happily reintroduced to his cage mates soon. Hugs. xxx

I don't think I actually posted about me naming all of the seven rescues as I only came up with a few names to begin with (so I wrote about those) but as for the others, it must have taken me a good few weeks to name them properly! So I don't think you missed it, I missed telling you guys!

I love taking photos of my ratties, though its so hard now as I can never find the time! Luckily I have a few to post in a minute!

Thankyou very much, I am really hoping that Albus will be okay going in for surgery on Friday-very nervous for him!

Found a photo of the girls on their scratching post that I forgot all about! I still need to edit the ones of the boys on theirs, but will hopefully get around to doing that soon.

Nova is the grey and white, no idea if the black and white is Pip or Pop, and as for the black girl... pft! Who knows who that is! haha!

As for my photoshoot photos, managed to get a few beautiful ones of Layla, one of the rescued girlies!

Haha! What a great time you and your gorgeous rats must have had. I can't even imagine all the adventures they must all be getting themselves into on a regular basis. They must surely keep you on your toes at all times. What fun! I love the latest pics of some of your lovely females. They are so gorgeous and look like tons of fun, too!

I hope that Albus's surgery yesterday went well. I will be praying that he recovers fully and completely and settles in well with his cage mates soon enough. Please give him an extra cuddles from me. Hugs to you Hrl!

Actually been the worst few days ever

Robyn is dying, overnight she lost complete use of her back legs and cannot move at all. The only movement she does do, is have horrible seizures when you disturb her and is clearly very distressed. For this reason I am not taking her to the vets, unless she gets worse and shows signs of pain. I have her in a carrier padded out with fleece, and she is high on pain relief. I absolutely hate it, but the minute i move the carrier, she starts having horrible seizures. So i feel that a vet will only stress her out

Also, i found what i thought was an abscess on Faye's face by her ear. Nope, turns out its almost definitely a Zymal Gland Tumour and basically there is nothing that can be done for her and I should get her PTS.

My heart is BREAKING. I CANT TAKE THIS ANYMORE.

Oh, Hrl, I'm terribly sorry to hear that you and your two sweethearts are going through all of this. My heart is breaking for all of you. I wish that I could do more, but please know that you, Robyn, and Faye are all in my thoughts and prayers. I am sending tons and tons of hugs your way, too. I am wishing for some miracles, too.

Robyn passed away in her sleep. I am happy that she isn't in pain anymore, but i hate her not being here

And Faye has gotten worse and i'm ringing the vets today after work

she's acting normal but the lump is only getting bigger and it was pussing out this morning. It looks HORRIBLE and smells awful too

We've lost Faye as well...
Rang the vets last night and it was treated as an emergency and we had to rush her in. Typically, i got there just as they had shut for the night so it was an out of hours visit-my bank is suffering!!
Opted for PTS as what i have read and other people's experiences have told me pts is definitely the best option. As much as it hurts, i know it was the right thing to do.

Its been a horrible few months for me, i've lost Thor, Loki, Erin, Robyn and Faye all in such a short space of time... :'(
