Guinea Pig Forums?
I have a darling guinea pig names Snickers, and I was just wondering if any of you happen to be member of an informative and caring guinea pig forum similar to HC. I absolutely love being a part of this community and am thankful for all of the help and friendships that I have gained because of it.
Thanks!

This is the forum my friend guniea pig enthusiast uses. Not sure if it's informative or caring, but you might want to check it out.

Re: Guinea Pig Forums?
I am a member of a guinea pig forum (not mentioning name as I don't want to bash them) and they are quite helpful at the beginning, when you first join. Now I just find it a very cliquey, critical forum. You have to be at that stage where you post tons and make it into the clique otherwise they kind of just ignore your threads whereas someone else in the forum clique will receive 10 times more responses for exactly the same topic. I'm not saying they don't give good advice, it's just the members aren't quite as responsive to you as they are to their clique friends. Those who donate to the website have some special status and you can only have a signature once you reach a really high post count.
I've kinda given up on that forum as I just don't find it a pleasant place to post. I feel this never happens with Hamster Central and everyone is always much more welcoming and accepting, regardless of the forum ranks, hence why I spend all my time on here.

Re: Guinea Pig Forums?
Thanks, Chesca! I can appreciate your decision not to mention names when the experience wasn't as pleasant as you had hoped. I don't blame you for being discouraged and disheartened by belonging to the one that you had previously been a part of. I wouldn't want to support it either. That's definitely not the case here. I'm so grateful for that. We all look out for each other's best interest, each other's pet's welfare, and truly have a sense of camaraderie.

Re: Guinea Pig Forums?
chesca_27 - This is actually the reason why I stopped using another popular hamster forum! I felt like the large size of it didn't allow for my posts to be heard and replied to.

Re: Guinea Pig Forums?
I second the vote for the guinea pig forum. I enjoy all the cute pictures and the level of knowledge is very impressive.
