Default I just got 3 cute mice

I got 3 little female mice, i didn't much like how the pet store worker picked them up by their tails and asked me if they were 'pets'...
The black and white one is Winnie
the mostly white one with a few black spots is Lumi
and the gold and white one is Skye
Oh how i love them!

i pick them up just like i do a hamster, if i even go near Winnie's tail she will squeak. Sometimes they can be picked up by the base of the tail. Although most snake owners feed them to snakes by dangling them by their tail in the snakes view. I just don't really get into live food, they could just buy frozen mice and thaw them out. I prefer to not grab their tail, it's like picking up a human by their butt cheek lol

Hi Auna. Congratulations on your new mice. If they came from a pet store, chances are they will be feeder mice (but the mice don`t care!) they will still make lovely little pets. Did the store sex them all as female for you? Female mice do like to have company so it`s great that you bought three. That`s a nice number to have because of you lose one through illness or old age, the other two still have each other for company. Male mice on the other hand don`t get on, so are usually kept alone.

Mice can be prone to respiratory ailments (often due to a mycoplasma organism they carry) so steer clear of anything scented or dusty. Mice don`t require sand or dust baths for example. Shredding paper and toilet tissue for nesting is ideal. Paper based products are better all round. I can see from your photos that you are already using a green coloured paper based substrate, so that`s good.

I think the best tip I can give regarding mice is using the Reggie Rat/Mimi Mouse food!It has good nutrition, not quite enough protein for rats but for mice it is perfect I've not found anything better in the US,and it looks like you're using green Carefresh which I'm almost certain is US exclusive!

Yes that's Carefresh. Same things my hamsters have. There is so many animals here. There's the 3 mice, 3 Syrian hamsters (Caged separately) 5 dogs, 5 parakeets, and a betta fish. I will look for that food, thank you for the advice!
