I'm sad to say the ending isn't as happy
The rescue did their best, but discovered that she had the biggest amount of roundworm they've seen in a while, as well as lungworm and fluke. The poor love just wasn't strong enough and she died despite treatment. At least she was warm, cared for and free from predators at the end.
