Thankyou so much Lizzy, your kind words really do mean a lot. I am so glad i managed to help rescue him, his personality is just shining through!

He is quite a chilled out rabbit, but whenever i open the door to his hutch he always tries to hop out! And when he does he just sits there bless him. I sat with him for a while today while he was in his hutch, and he just sat there with his two front paws on my legs.

Today he had probably what was his first ever dandelion. We gave him 3 leaves (so it wasn't such a shock to his system) and he only nibbled one. He wouldnt touch the other ones but when i checked on him later on they were all gone. So i think he was unsure, but then decided he likes them!

He also went for a wonder round the garden which he loved! I have several rabbit and cat harnesses for my bunnies so i fitted the cat harness to him (as it was large) and it fitted perfectly. He loved exploring the garden, plus it meant he had a lot more room to hop and stretch his legs, as he makes my runs and hutches look small!

I have had a look online and have found a hutch that should be suitable for him. 7ft x 3ft x 3ft and its £225. I will have another look but i think its the best hutch i've found, for a decent price. All the other large hutches that i have seen are around £300-£400!

GOD I NEED THIS JOB.

Bailey is certainly a handful!!

He escaped the hutch yesterday! And met the dog! Who did nothing but hump him! Poor Bailey haha
The door was wide open so my first thought was 'omg maybe i didnt shut the door...' And i was getting really paranoid and couldn't stop thinking about it all morning. Then when i went to see him a few hours later, i noticed that he kept scratching at the mesh on the door. The bolt kept shaking. He managed to get out by himself!

We have attached blocks of wood that you have to twist from the outside so he can't knock them like he could the bolts. When the door shook the bolt got loose and moved across very slowly.
The blocks of wood seemed to work, but when i checked on him this morning the bolt was unbolted! However, the wooden blocks prevented him from making another escape. He's going to be a pain!!

He is very cuddly and loves all the love and fuss he gets. Just doesn't like being in his hutch for long periods-very understandable! So as soon as i get money coming in the first thing i am going to do is sort out a nice big 8ft hutch for him!

Sounds like you've got an Houdini on your hands lol! That's so smart with bolt, he's one to watch! Did laugh at the dig trying to him.
Have you thought of renaming him Houdini?

He is a smart boy bless him! I really hope i get this job, i just want to get him a 8ft x 3ft x 3ft hutch so he has as much room as possible while he's in his hutch! He must hate being trapped in at night i try to let him out in the run as much as i can. He loves it!
Houdini would definitely fit! But bailey fits him more

Oh I love a big bunny! All of them are lovely but now I am vicariously involved in Baileys rescue I look forward to seeing him. Is he Bailey's cream coloured? He sounds like a trooper. Good on you for the rescue.
