Harvey & I had a quiet one too, he was ok with the fireworks, I just sat and talked to him and spoilt him with loads of treats.

Got off work a couple of hours early today which made all the difference to our walk, usually we only get to walk in daylight at the weekends during this time of year! We went to a field which we've gone to a couple of times before - they have a little obstacle course and there were no kids about, so Alfie made use of it instead.

We then met a couple with another Westie and we spoke for a little while... they said ''oh ours used to be that active when he was young like yours, but he's getting old now, he'll be 7 at the end of the month''. They didn't quite know what to say when I said Alfie will be 13 next weekend
