He is into small animals, when we go to petshops he always looks at the animals and says how 'we must get it!' and then he falls in love with them all and then I give in and then we end up getting more animals!
Cinnamon is a lovely girl... when she was a baby she had a slightly longer coat, as she grew the fur stopped growing so now it doesn't look as long as it did.

Yes I did have a major soft spot for her!! She's very tiny compared to Maple, and they both the same age (2 months)

Re: My Piggie Thread!
Your piggies are beautiful!
I had six... Emma and Ella were my originals, but Emma came to me pregnant (surprise!) and she had four babies. Unfortunately, as I'm sure you're aware, guinea pigs are A LOT of work. When I went to college, I couldn't bring them with me and no one at home wanted to care for them for me, so I had to find them new homes. Emma and Ella went together, the three baby girls went together, and the little boy went to a home with lots of other boys for him to live with.
Emma was amazing though, she sounds a lot like patches. She was trained! She knew her name and would come when called, would "beg" for treats (aka: sit on hind legs with paws in front of her), would run to her bed so I could pick her up when I said "get in the bed", and would run in circles when I said "circles". She is such a special girl. And Ella? Such a snuggler! We would take naps together. I love guinea pigs, hands down the best pets in my opinion.

Wow thats such a special bond! Patch doesn't do any tricks, she's just an attention seeker. I think if I tried to train her, she wont have any of it! Though she is very food motivated...

Re: My Piggie Thread!
I have finally named my little girly! She's called Treacle. I think Treacle and Maple go well together... Like the syrup stuff you can buy!
All 5 of them are now living together! I have them in a 6ft by 2ft hutch at the moment, its a little small for 5 of them though. When I got the newest two, I was only meant to get one! Boyfriend persuaded me to let him get one! A 6ft by 2ft hutch is enough to house 4 piggies, but saying that the new ones are only little.
Underneath their level, is Sooty, my very old old rabbit. She is 10, coming up to 11 now. So when she passes away, I will convert the hutch into one, making a long ramp from the guineas cage down into Sooty's. Then they will all have plenty of space. Thats the plan!
They all went outside in the run the other day. It was Treacle and Maple's first time in the run and they LOVED it. They were popcorning like crazy and loves nibbling the grass. They were in with the other 3 as well (to help with bonding) and they have both taken a liking to Patch who keeps grooming them and snuggling up to them. The group were bonded very quickly which didn't surprise me as female guinea pigs are very easy to introduce.
Here are some photos:
Treacle with Lilly behind her
Maple
Cinnamon stuffing her face as usual
Patch! (She looked up from grazing when I said her name, after I took this photo she came running over squeaking her head off XD)
The two gingers, Cinnamon and Maple
Little tiny Treacle having a nibble
Treacle, Patch and Lilly
My beautiful, and very chunky, Lilly Piggie!
Maple is going to grow up to be one gorgeous girly
Patch and Cinnamon super chilled out in the evening sunshine!
