They are bonded. And I'm not sure about there cage size at the rescue, they told me the minimum size cage was 120cm but like I said at some point in the future I am going to be looking in to a C&C cage

I don't know if you already know this, but you can potty train your piggies! The concept is basically like potty training a hamster, except they can be poo trained too!

Just move some of their pee and poo into a corner that you choose, and keep encouraging them to take care of business there!

I have never, ever been able to potty train a pig, so I'm jealous with your success! In my experience they just go, go, go. Where they sleep, where they eat, while they walk, on your lap. They eat constantly so they poop a lot too, ha.

A lot of people have had luck with a kitchen though!
They poops the most when they eat. So you get a large tray and put their haystack, vegetable and pellet bowls, and water bottles over the tray. That way the tray will catch the poops!

LOL I was about to chime in on potty training I had two lovely Gals in a 2 X 3 C & C cage and placed two Rabbit size potties in each far corner to their chosen nest and hay area and not once did they fail to use the potties at all(well except when they both decided the potties made great nursery areas LOL). I would place Kiln dried soft wood chips in the potties and the rest of the non bed area was bedded with pressed paper pellets. For hay I went out and bought a full bale of Grass hay and Timothy mixed baled hay and I went through a whole bale in just one month when Mom's and pups were eating the hay.

Here is Lilian after she was no longer a pigglet factory. She and Pigtunia her cage companion were used to produce feeder piglets before coming to me as a foster mom until the rescue could find them both a nice furever home once their pups were weaned and also adopted as pets. She had just been weaned of her pups and still was being fattened up after mother duties in this photo.

I'm thrilled to say these ladies are now in a great pet home and have actually become better intruder alert alarms then the family's rescued Lab LOL.
Due to my bizzy schedule I had to step down from Piggy foster care but I did enjoy being the maternity foster.

Oh I love piggies and the "whoop whoop whoop" they make. I wouldn't have room though and it's too cold here for outdoor enclosures (Southern California was another story). Best of luck with them they are lovely.

Actually, my aunt was the one who had the experience of potty training her piggy. I just helped occasionally! Lol! She just gave me a TON of advice on potty training when I first got my hammy.

Hi everyone thanks for the great advice. I got the Piggies last night, before putting them in their new cage the lady from the rescue let me hold them and just went through a few things. As soon as they were put in their cage I left them to settle in, throughout the evening I did talk to them but other than that I left them to it. When I did walk in last night one of the boys would run straight back to bed which I expected. Well today he has been staying out of his bed whilst I'm around which is a good improvement, although the other Piggy Larry will not come out of his bed when I am around. I fed Timothy (the more confident one) some veggies but Larry would not come out for any. I'm worrying Timothy is eating all the veggies before Larry gets a chance. Has anyone got any advice?

Also they have got a litter tray but chose to use another part of their cage to pee, they are on megazorb with newspaper underneath, well the pee has gone through to the newspaper so I will need to clean the cage tonight. Has anyone got any advice about cleaning it? I was going to put them in their big play pen whilst I did it but how would I get Larry out with him being so nervous?

I've seen a lot of people use fleece blankets, you can just put them in the wash when you need to and use a fresh one whilst the other is cleaning

Maybe try create a ramp that leads to the play pen with some veggies to temp them?
