Aww she's really cute! Love how she's made herself so at home already :P

Definitely get her spayed though, if she's on heat at the moment you could end up with kittens in a 2 months so get it done asap! I would check her for fleas too and give her worm treatment as you don't know if thats ever been done.

Congrats on a new addition finding their way into your life

I was watching her before when Larry was running on his wheel and she didn't even bat an eyelid, she's been in such deep sleeps since she moved in. She's probably thankful that there's blankets and warmth and that she doesn't have to find secure places outside to sleep.

Vicki S- No my warm heart and NEED to adopt animals did haha. I ended up with my two hamsters because I can't deal with the thought of animals not being chosen to have happy homes. My mum keeps making jokes because in the last three months I've moved house, got a new job and a new boyfriend and now I have a cat. I think she's happy that grandchildren may eventually happen ha. Now I'm just waiting for my boyfriend to get home so I can break the news that as long as he's with me he's going to have to deal with his allergies.

Peasypea - I know, she's even claimed cushions and blankets as her own. I was eating before and she was watching me and ready to jump on the table. I said a stern no and she walked off, need to teach them young. I'm hoping to get her done this weekend and I'm not letting her outside. I opened the door before, she walked on the step and froze, I opened it wider to see a cat staring at her, the cat ran up to her so I grabbed her and threw her inside. He stood outside the house for 5 minutes waiting for me to let her out again. I checked her yesterday and couldn't find any but my grandma has a spot on that she's giving me and my mum has a worming treatment that I'll do because I doubt it's ever been done.

Thanks!

That's wonderful she's lovely. You should get her injections at the vet and she can be tested for some of the things strays might have. "De-fleaing" is a bit old fashioned I think, you can get a "spot on" flea treatment at the vet too. It's not very expensive and works very well. If you boyfriend is allergic get a small cat brush and get in a routine of giving her a good brushing every morning to keep the loose dander down. And Hoover a lot. Xx

Sorry double post I just saw your post above. I have had many cats, including strays and have trained all of them to not jump on the table or the countertops. I don't think "no" works with cats the same as dogs because they are not a pack animal but, they are creatures of habit and I just plop them down when ever they get up and they forget about it as a place to go. It does take about 3 months of being 100 percent consistent but it's a lesson that sticks. Good luck xx

Please put posters up...

I lost my cat over 3 years ago and he's never been found. He wasn't chipped and had no collar so I'm guessing someone took him in thinking he was a stray. His brother has now developed bipolar-type behaviours since losing his brother and I went through a really horrible year of depression and I'm still not over the loss of my cat, Puzzle. Please put posters up, I couldn't bare someone going through what I did. She may be really lovely and loving but someone could be missing those nights where she woke them up for love and all the little characteristics of her personality.

I understand it's really tempting to keep her but there's no harm in putting some posters up. I haven't read all of the posts on here so sorry if you've already put posters up.

Another thing if she's going around houses is put a note on her collar with your phone number asking to ring you if she belongs to someone. I did this with a cat that started hanging around and two other people rang saying they were feeding him too! I was in college and broke so I took up a collection and got him fixed. Plenty love to go around.

my sister naively took in a stray that had worms and was in a horrible state it took 2 months to make her better but her attitude did not change she was always a biter and nasty there was not much she could do and she had a 2 year old child at the time so after 5 months he let her go after she had her spayed she sometimes get's random fish head's left in front of her door <3

Update. The owners came looking for her today. I say owners but I mean people who use her to breed kittens. They said she was 3 years old and had had five sets of kittens in her life. Should have seen her when they picked her up, she ran down and jumped on the couch. She loves life when I pick her up. It's very sad but she's theres. They said she's a house cat but we came to the conclusion the other day that she was 2 months pregnant so they must just get a boy cat round every now and then to get her pregnant so they can sell her kittens. They gave me visitation rights/their number but it's doubtful I'll go round ha. They live a few doors down but I've been letting her out constantly over the past couple of days whilst I've been working and she would come here and not home. I have been putting one of those is this cat yours if so please call and my number on her every day and noone called.

WinnieTheHam - I've lost so many cats in my life so you don't need to tell me what to do. I wouldn't selfishly steal someones cat lol.
