Unhappy charateristics of passing mice?

Hey guys, i'm not sure why, if they're poorly or close to passing, but my eldest female mice havent been themselves lately, they're around a year and a half age wise, they've not been playful or hungry, rejecting fresh veg, not sleeping in their usual spot..they'd rather sleep on the floor of their cage than in their cosy hideout..i'm so confused and worried, any help would be apprechiated.

Hi charcobain, they might be feeling warm. They are also a good age and if they are females and don`t have any tumours or respiratory issues, that`s great at their age. Open a window but make sure they are not in a draught. Make sure (although you probably have already) make sure the water bottle is working. You say they are not eating as well or as much? have they always been on the same food mix? If so, do they enjoy it? What I usually do if they get bored with food is add other things to it or change the mix slowly to something else. It really depends on the mice and what they are currently fed. Hope they are okay. x

A little better, they slept for a little in their usual hide out but for the past few hours have slept on the floor in a little burrow they've made, haven't seen them eat or drink yet, had a little run in their wheel..have to see how they're acting later on when they're more awake.

My mice used to sleep under a shelf on the ground floor of the cage, but I had a large rat cage and it had full shelves above that I covered with off-cuts of lino! On the shelves I used to have one of those sponge igloo accessories and the mice adored those. Pocket hammocks also went down well but any hammock I used was always hung low over a shelf, so easy to access, especially for older mice who may not have the same agility.

If you have any photos of their cage or the mice themselves, I`d love to see them. x
