Zoey's one of my chinchillas and a total cuddlebug. She loves her people and loves to be held...until she doesn't want to be held of course Anyway, I was wandering around checking water bottles and food this morning and she was begging to come out. So I cradled her in my arms and walked out onto the back deck to see the morning and the trees. While we were standing there we heard a "buzz" then another one then another a little louder and then there she was! A female Rufous hummingbird, hovering maybe 2 feet away, and obviously very curious about Zoey. They looked at each other for a good 30 seconds before the hummer flew off into the trees but it was such a neat encounter to have!
That sounds amazing! I'm a little jealous too lol!
