I love Rogue, he's so adorable and we don't see enough pics of him! The first pic of him in the woods is lovely, they're so nice at the moment aren't they - all pretty and cool enough to walk far & brisk, but not horribly muddy underfoot yet!

Aw bless him in his little muzzle. Alfie has a tendency towards DA so muzzle acceptance is a necessity for us too. Thankfully he doesn't need to wear it much, but gets very excited when he sees it! When he first started wearing it I used to put a blob of primula in the end, so he still thinks that's gonna be there

It's been ages since I updated Rogue's thread. My poor deprived boy!

I've changed my working pattern so we've been trying to find a new balance for walks - if he has too many walks or busy days then he gets overly tired and stressed. I think we've found a good mix of time in daycare, rest days, walks and training. We've been making more use of our local secure field for stress- and people-free walks and he loves it there. There are some things for him to play on as well as lots of trees to sniff.

On a rest day we do scentwork, training or play with his puzzle toys. We've started some trick training as well as the rally obedience work.

He does love a nice walk and we recently went on holiday so got to scamper on the beach!

Our parkour training has helped him get far more confident with climbing on things we find on walks as you can see! This week he earned his Parkour Dog in Training title. We filmed some of the clips we submitted for the title at the Hereford hamster show as he wasn't permitted in the hall and needed something to keep him occupied (and it was too hot to walk). He's now "Rogue TDR1 PKD-T"

He loves a good nap after his hard work!

Lovely photos! It looks like he really likes to pose, he sits looking at the camera like saying hi!!!

It's nice that you find out the perfect balance between walks and rest time. He shouldn't be bored with all those activities, that's for sure!

Rogue and I have been playing with some tricks on recent rest days (it's been half term so we couldn't use the garden).

We've also been doing an online course to try and work on making our basic obedience behaviours more solid and precise. We've spent the last week relearning sit. Who knew there were so many different ways for a dog to sit!

This is on the advice of judges who've suggested that going back and building a solid base will help with his confidence in the ring.

Here are the non-embedded links. Hopefully these will work for you

We had a trainer round this afternoon for more work on his behaviour. Lots of homework!

What a good boy he is, he's doing so well!

All the activities that you do with him look like so much fun... I'd definitely be giving them a go if I had a dog (one day I WILL have one).

It's rather hot but that doesn't slow down my heat-seeking dog. He's still loving warm cuddles (though a chihuahua hot water bottle isn't quite what I feel like!) At the Andover show we sat in the shade a lot and took the opportunity to start a new trick - rubbing his eye.

This is what we practiced today. We're still shaping the behaviour so there's no verbal or hand signal cue yet, not until the behaviour is what I want it to be.
