Thank you so much! You have been very helpful!
I only have experience with australian cattle dogs, so it's hard I guess! :P
Does anybody know if the Brittanys shed a lot?

In my experience spaniels shed quite a bit. Not loads like a husky but enough to put house proud people off.
What about a miniature or toy poodle. Very intelligent, don't shed (have hair like people) but do need to be clipped but this can be done at home. I have met so many and their personalities are so varied. Personally not a dog I would go out looking for but suit others so perfectly. I'd rather have a St Bernard but talk about hair and slobber everywhere! haha

Well, It's pretty much obvious what I would vote for! Considering Yoda has a spot on my Signature, Chihuahuas are my choice. He happened to me...Yoda's a rescue, and they best little dog in the world. Who knew something so little could be as good a watchdog as any of ny prior big dogs? He was over 2, closer to 3 when I got him, abandoned and scared. He's my pal.
