Smile Sassy the Quaker Parrot

Sassy's former owner started going back to college and working full time so she rehomed Sassy to me. She was given to me in 2011 and was between 7-8 years old. The second the former owner put Sassy on my shoulder, Sassy seemed to know I was her new mama. We took to each other right away and still love each other very much.

Sassy does not like other people and animals at all. She will tolerate my mother but that's the only other person that can hold her, and that's only when I'm not around. Sassy is also very vocal and has a fit sometimes to be held. Here's some pictures I just took of her.

I love Sassy! Oh how very pretty and cute and adorable! Could you please someday do a video of her? I would love to get an African grey, but, at my age, it wouldn't be fair. It would most likely outlive me. You are very lucky that sassy took to you so well. Lots of birds get really attached to their owners and it can be hard for them to accept a new owner. Lucky, lucky you.

I took a video clip of her right after I adopted her. For some reason it won't let me link it to this site. If you'll go to youtube and type in Zazzy Quaker bath, it should be one of the first videos. I'm brittbritt3511 on there. There's also a video under my name of my canary, Cheddar, singing. He died a few months back. There's also a video of one of my cockatiels taking a bath.
