Default I must be mad or something !

As you may know, I have bought a guinea pig. I am going to sort out a 'partner' for her so she is not bored. I went onto a piggy forum and do what I do on here, chat about pets and also try to help people.
Well, I looked at the rehoming section, just to see if there was anyone local to me and one person wnted to rehome their two male piggies. She had a few replies saying @I hope you find a new home for them' and 'they are very cute' etc. I sent a message asking if they had found a new home. The lady got back to me. I receive them tomorrow (Monday tea time) lol. There is a large c&c cage. More grids to make a run out side or another cage, a few fleeces, hides, food, hay, bowls, water bottles, infact everything that she has.
So on Monday, we will have, one rabbit, two hamsters and three guinea pigs, until I get a fourth (the one for the lonely Pip, either a neutered male or another female from a rescue centre).
I will have to see about having a larger house or an extension built if any more arrive. lol.

LOL sometimes it just happens that way; you start with one and suddenly you have a zoo

Congratulations on your piggies, I'd love to have them someday but for now I'm stuck on chinchillas and hamsters

Ahahahahaha! I'm living the piggy life vicariously through your tales of Pip! This is absolutely priceless. I'm wondering how many more you're going to adopt before Pip gets a partner!!!

Thanks. Chinnies are so soft to cuddle and cute. I had a pair years ago. I had to replace the shelves in their cage as they chew them almost constantly. I spoilt them by giving htem raisins every day. I used to give them about 4 each daily. It was the only time I could catch them to cuddle them. lol.
One pet I would love to have and never have had are chipmonks. I think they are really cute, but way to fast. lol.

I've seen guinea pig enclosures made from wire grid (I don't know what it's called, it's like wire shelving units connected by clips?) and coroplast sheets, very inexpensive. apparently they're really bad at climbing, so a full enclosure isn't necessary.

Thats what the c&c ones are. Its about £17 for the shelf unit, and £20 for the correx sheet. The size when built is 56" x 28" for a 4 x 2 and a 2 x 1 loft on top of one end with a ramp up to it.
Thats what is coming with the piggies and another which measures a 3 x 2 (52" x 28"). All I know at the mo is there is loads of stuff to go with the piggies. It all will be delivered tomorrow and just for the price of a cuppa. I couldnt say no. One guinea is a Peru (peruvian) and the other is an Abby (Abyssinian). Its the hair that makes them the type they are apparently. They are brothers. The owner has had them since they were 8 weeks old and now they are two years old.

Congratulations Ian but 3 is an uneven number you know so Pip needs her friend to move in really soon
Have the new boys been castrated? I'm assuming Pip is a girl? If you got another girl could they all move in together as one big happy family unit?

All move in together. lol. I would have loads then. lol. Pip is a girl and I will be getting her a playmate with the help of a rescue centre. I phoned them yesterday and we will be sorting everything out soon. She just has to settle here then it can begin. With me not having to buy a large cage now, I can go ahead with it next week, or the week after. She will be mated to what ever she chooses. Either a neutered boar or another female.

The two males I am getting are not castrated but I think they will be soon.
