I found Gabby through a craigslist post for a free rabbit with cage. I was told Gabby had lived all winter in the garage without any type of litter in her cage as she would kick it out. They were getting rid of her because they had no air conditioner in the garage. I think if there was no air there was probably no heat that winter either.
I took Gabby to an animal shelter and she had a bunny date with Thumper. They hit it off right away and he came home with us. He used to live with a family who had three kids who terrorized him. The lady at the shelter thought he may never be able to be adopted but once he met Gabby it changed his life.
They have no cage as they are free range in the front half of our house. They are very good at using their litter box like a cat would. Gabby is the black rabbit and Thumper is the brown rabbit. Gabby doesn't like people but the way she was treated before us I don't blame her for it. Thumper loves people and loves to be petted and massaged.
