Default The Fur'n'Feather Gang...

This is Bo. He's an African Spotted Eagle Owl:

This is Pharoah. A Common Barn Owl (Bred in captivity - has an A10 certificate)

Bob The Bruiser. He's a big ol' Pygmy Hedgehog! He belong's to John (who's almost 17yrs) the younger of my sons.

Snoogy Snuggle just 10 weeks old:
,

Casper My Samoyed:

Oscar, My eldest's Lhasa Apso - The best time to take his pickie - sound asleep!

That's the lot for now.
There's also 2 Russian Hammies (belonging to the elder of my girls) but their place is elsewhere...

Thanks for looking

Thank-you!

I'm 'Mum' to them all - even the older kids get my beady eye over their shoulders.

Both dogs are rescues - Casper was neglected and pure wee Oscar abused and left scarred mentally and physically! He took a long time to bring round. Now he's the sweetest, loyalest and most protective little dog you could ever meet.

As for the birds.. I was interested in falconry for years and did a course with my younger son. We found we were more drawn to owls than hawks and after building a large aviary, bought little Pharoah. About 2 years later we bought the big boy (who looked like a carniverous furby at the time lol).

The hedgehogs are just another of our odd passions! I used to think why have a sweet'n'silky lil bundle o' fur when I can have a sweet'n'spikey little beastie - a satanic hamster lol!

Thanks for your interest!

OMG! What a great group of animals. The owls are amazing. I didn't know a person could keep them as pets. The hedgies are just adorable and I love the dogs. All of my dogs except on has been either a rescue or a stray. I really can't get over the owls. What beautiful birds.

Falconry has always fascinated me. I would love to take it up in my spare time (which I don't really have).

Pharaoh is gorgeous. I love barn owls.

Thanks folks - I know how lucky I am lol!

I don't know what the laws are in New York State, but I know the laws on keeping birds of prey vary depending where you are in the US. Some states don't allow the keeping of imported birds (with or without a licence) whilst other states will allow the capture of young indiginous birds to be kept for a set period of time...

Falconry was one of those activities I used to enjoy watching at county shows since I was very small. The birds facinated me!

I had Pharaoh from 6wks old - a bundle of fluff! When we got Bo (short for Bubo - the prefix for eagle owls) he was just 10 days old but already bigger than Pharoah!

Thanks for your kind comments - they're all fab and my family and I love every one of them.
