Re: Maia won a first place ribbon!
Aww, thanks guys! I'm pretty proud of my girl! I don't think I'm going to breed her though. So much can go wrong and it's in her genetic history too, the thought gets me very scared!
AI- Depends on who you talk to. Most people will agree that if they have a place to get off the mesh (Which he does) they are fine. To add, most of mine aren't on mesh. He's been on it most of his life and doesn't have issues. It CAN cause bumblefoot though, but I've never first hand heard of that being the prime cause of it, and if caught in time and treated appropriately in won't get infected. I'm actually have a chin with the beginnings of bumblefoot and he never set foot on mesh. I'm rambling. I should stop. :\ Anyway, no, it's not bad for chins IMO, you will have a fair few say it is though, but you need to know your chin, same with hams and cage size deal

Oh, you mean in the show cages? I have mesh in some of my cages and that's what I thought you were mentioning. The show cages need to be mesh so that the judges can see the bellies on the chins, they've been like that for over fifty years, I'm sure it's fine.
