might take more pictures tonight during their play pen time. depends how much stuff i have to do today. I want to give them a bath too. They have this weird greasy feeling to their fur and one of them has dandruff or something... dunno if they can get dandruff? Maybe partly from being sick I don`t know but want them to be clean and healthy. Or maybe the vet or where ever the store had them was gross i have no idea but their fur is kinda gross. And i have laundry to pick up plants to water stuff to re arrange in the apartment ... the list goes on and on.

i know what you mean about lists, i'm stuck in bed recovering from my gallbladder op, and keep planning a new piggy home, and new storage areas for the house so we can fit everything in, and i just can't switch off!!

If you do bath them, focus on their grease gland the most, girls do have one despite what some sources will say, and if they've been ill it can over work. If the skin is flaky consider a hypo-allergenic shampoo for them with anti-mite or similar.

U sound like me mona. i`m suppose to get gall bladder surgery but can`t afford it so i`m maintaining it by diet and herbs. I too am dealing with storage issues and i never switch off. Piggies actually seemed to like the bath... not so much the drying off part though they enjoyed being clean as well. I made sure they didn`t get cold or anything as well and changed their cage so they`d be in a clean environment instead of one they were ill in. A naughty piggie was caught trying to nibble yellow bedding so it was removed as well. Next time i`ll just have to get the tubes with hay in them... do i need to remove the hay from the tube so the silly piggies don`t poke their eyes?

i'm glad they liked their bath - mine hate it to the point i need protective clothing when i bath them :s lol!!

I wouldn't say you need to remove the hay, they need an unlimited supply of fresh hay daily so it won't be much different to the hay they already have for them, its only the straw i worry about. My piggies (3) go through about a bale of hay a month, so they do need a fair bit, but i also give them fresh grass as a treat in between

Oh they have tons of hay it went on sale not too long ago and i stocked up and i found a place that sells it for less too so hay is easy. The piggies have finally started to put on some weight they were very very boney when i got them which is why i worried so much about them being sick thin and sick is never good. So now they are getting better and popcorning around and healthy weight so i`m pretty happy overall. They are much cleaner too. Once they thoroughly dried it was like a transformation they were very dirty. I think they were mostly ok with he bath thing because they are so young. I'm not looking forward to trying in on the older ones I adopted they have handling issues to begin with so I don`t think it will go over very well.

They are super cute! They may be hesitant on the veggies if they were not offered much at the store. I would keep offering them a variety of veggies such as: cilantro, green pepper, kale, green or red lettuce (no iceberg) and carrot tops. Avoid broccoli or other gas inducing veggies.

Also avoid "treats" such as yogurt drops or seeds-all no-nos for pigs.

The best treats are veggies or bits of fruit once in a while such as apple or a single grape.

yeah i`m going to give it a try once i go to the store to get some veggies. probably will only offer them little tiny bits til they actually eat some of something. so far they don`t even nibble at it. none of the piggies were happy yesterday and the hams hid away til we went to bed because we were rearranging the furniture all day. They were not happy with the noise. They won`t take food from my hand yet but they`ll let us hold them and let me give them medicine. Niya is very silly and talks most of the time.
