Halloween fun
I didn't want to hijack souffle's lovely Halloween Hamster thread so thought I'd start one for adding all our halloween bits I know Luna did a theme on a cage recently. I have a pumpkin lantern Courtesy of a carving kit it looks a bit less ropey this year. We have real tealight candles inside rather than the pretend candles as it has more atmosphere and flickering

That's a beautiful pumpkin! So well lit up too.

Re: Halloween fun
Yes in fact I was going to ask if anyone knew if the seeds are ok straight from the pumpkin (after leaving to dry ) or if they need to be roasted or something. There‘a the odd bit of pumpkin attached to the seeds but most of the scooping out were a bit messy and not enough to do anything with.

Re: Halloween fun
wow Serendipity that looks amazing!
Pumpkin seeds just dried are fine for them, I buy them like that rather than the shelled ones you buy in the supermarket.
Ria hams can eat pumpkin but I think (not sure?) it may be better cooked, none of mine are keen though.
