Default Please stay safe

Hi

So when I got home on Friday, Theodore came out of his hide to grab a meal worm treat from me. As he was chomping away I said to him .. "So little buddy, I'm not sure if you turn on the TV while am at work but if you do, you must be kind of concerned with all the news." "I don't want you to worry" I continued, "as you have three months of food in the kitchen (not to mention your own horde) and at least a month of meal worms in the fridge!"

"Ok Hamster Dad" he said as he looked up from his treat. "And I'll try to stay off the news for awhile when you're not here".

Seriously though - Theodore and I would like everyone in our Hamster Community to know that we hope you all can stay safe and well in these strange times.

And so it goes ...

Aww same to you. I thank god for my hammies, they help keep me sane normally as I am housebound with a chronic illness, and they are helping even more now. I like the fact that the hamsters and the birds I can watch from my window have no idea what is going on and just carry on as normal. My sister in law just dropped 2 bags of hamster food off for me this morning.

Just to cheer everyone up, Moo has stolen a teaspoon. I put one in his cage with a bit of rice on and it has disappeared. Our hammies at least do not understand what is going on.

My hamster has snatched various spoons and claimed them as her own, i'll put a touch of peanut butter on them for her to lick off, but she takes the spoon with her. Anyone else have spoon thieves at home?

I'm going to try a little experiment with my three... I'll leave a spoon in each of their cages and see where they end up! Report back to follow!

Has Moo returned your spoon yet? I wonder what he's done with it.

Everyone else has all these cute little moments, meanwhile I have a dog who refused to let me just have one tiny section of the couch to myself - I guess nothing makes him understand what personal space is.
