Wooden dog toys?
So I've been looking for puzzle toys for my hamster.
My Frigg is a ginger Syrian girl and needs lots of enrichment, or she gets bored.
She's in a detolf, 6 inch plus bedding ect but she's high energy and always wants to be out and busy. I get her out every day and she loves climbing up the stairs and exploring supervised.
I use toilet roll innards and egg cartons but theirs only so many ways you can do them.
I was looking online at puzzle toys and found some dog wooden ones that some bunny owners were using.
There solid wood (not MDF) I think, this is what I found:

I'm getting her a puzzle and forage toy for hamsters:

Re: Wooden dog toys?
They look alright to me and should keep her entertained for a while.
Have you tried hiding treats in little boxes with a few pierced holes so she can smell them but has to work out how to get to them?
Seeds stuck into willow balls or anything to make her work for her treats will keep her busy too.
Do you scatter feed and hide food?

Re: Wooden dog toys?
I've tried giving boxes with food and it keeps her busy, I stopped putting holes as it gives her a start, she chews and makes her way into the box.
I've even started placing her food wrapped in paper, then placed in egg boxes which does keep her busy and she enjoys for about 3 hours. We have 12 egg boxes so it's how I feed her normal food.
Also wrapped in paper her food which is placed in a wooden chew tunnel with holes.
Willow balls last about a week, she rolls to get the food out then chews hard.
I also give her whole shelled peanuts and walnuts.
