So cute especially the last two with their black faces such a contrast to the white coats. Good news about the families with the difficult beginnings.

Thank you Coco. Only 30 left to lamb now but it could go on for another week to 10 days as sometimes one or two drag on a bit!

Thank you Souffle. I love the long lamb tails and the way they swish them when they're excited about feeding! Makes you realise where "two shakes of a lamb's tail" comes from for doing something quickly. Docking tails isn't completely banned yet but farmers are encouraged not to. Ours keep their tails.

I like that you keep their tails! It's so wrong that a sheep with their natural God-given tail looks strange and out of place, though of course I understand why docking is the simplest thing to do sometimes.

The little freckled legs are killing me :3

Lovely to see the lamb again this year! They are totally adorable.
Lovely to hear the lamb coat worked and the baby was accepted by his new mother.
Looking forward to seeing even more lamb pictures as they are far to cute!

Thank you SKB and Shannon.

Lambing time is about over for this year. A good year without many losses. Two pairs of twins were stillborn (which sadly does happen on occasion) and one lamb died after surviving a few days - suspected genetic issue as he couldn't stand up. But there are about 170 of them alive and kicking.

Most of them are now at least 2 weeks old and are looking strong. They get braver and leave their Mothers and charge around the fields in a gang! And play in little groups. Like children playing together. They won't be weaned from their Mothers till August though.

WOW! 170 is a lot of lambs and plenty gorgeousness. I just love reading about them charging round the fields in their gangs. That's so adorable.
Thank You, for your beautiful and detailed Lambing thread, I've so enjoyed it xx

Absolutely loved reading this thread. So lovely to see all the little lambs and learn a little about something that I would never have the opportunity to in real life.
