Re: Our Tadpoles :-)
I think Newt and Nugget heard me talking to the taddies because they have both been making their presence known tonight

Re: Our Tadpoles :-)
Aww, poor Newt and Nugget getting a bit jealous of your taddies. My guinea pig Snickers used to do the same whenever I was spending time with my fish.

Re: Our Tadpoles :-)
This brings back many tadpole memories for me, we would go to Balmaha and get frogspawn. Then watch them develop into frogs. Me and a friend would make a home from a large tank, mud, plants, hidey wooden holes, a little pond, rocks etc.
We had a couple of frogs who both had only 3 legs and they lived till they were about 6 years old.

Re: Our Tadpoles :-)
That is amazing Thin Lizzy! Did you keep the frogs then? I have a feeling ours may be toads as the tadpoles are so black - apparently frog tadpoles are more brown but we shall see!

Re: Our Tadpoles :-)
Yes, we had about 4 between us and they grew big and cuddly. Majority of the tadpoles that turned into frogs were kept for a while, fed up and then released back at Balmaha. The food was put in and they had to catch it themselves, it really was a good watch.
You're right about frog tadpoles being more brown.
The mud aquarium they were kept in was massive.
Will you keep some of yours?

Re: Our Tadpoles :-)
I do love to see tadpoles & it is amazing to watch them grow, I had to laugh at Newt & Nugget getting jealous lol!
I think yours will be toads if you got them from a river.

Re: Our Tadpoles :-)
Ah I thought you might know Cypher. We will release them back where we found them when they become probably toads! On dry land next to the river.
