Question Travelling with a hamster to another EU country

I have a question, I've tried to so some research, but I just can't find any specific information about bringing a rodent to another EU country from Uk.

Does anyone knows anything about this subject?
Because maybe later this year I am a facing a fact I need to move to another country and I really dont wanna leave my little baby here, I'd like to take her with me, if it's possible.

But I can only find information about bringing pets to UK. Do you think the rules same for bringing pets from uk?

I guess it may depend on the country but there have been discussions on here before about taking hams to EU countries & the main issues seemed to be how best to transport them but other than that it didn't seem to be a problem.

You can take hamsters abroad to Europe without issues in secure carriers. People take them normally on ferries or hovercraft or through the tunnel by train. Planes will insist they travel in the hold and you would find it expensive as you would need special containers etc for them. I would go down the taking them in a car route if I were you!

Which country are you moving to? Surprisingly, some of the rulings are quite strict (Spain, for example). I work for an international pet travel company so if I can help in anyway, let me know.

You are an angel!

So I am moving back to Italy. And yes what I was also thinking is that I need to find a train that accepts pets on board or/ and ferry.

I'm so glad to hear there is some hope at least, since this decicion had to made quite suddenly. But I still got plenty of time to find all the necessary information
