Would it be a bad idea to try to lead her out of the hole by using another hole?

Not sure what you mean! You could put a tube/tunnel right over the hole. When I tried that with our hamster though, he ran back every time I went near the tube. It might happen after dark when there's no-one around. If the hole is at floor level though, a tube leading into a bucket trap isn't really possible. But I would set up the bucket trap near the hole tonight anyway.

I might be able to kind of force her out using another hole if I put something else through it. Would that be too traumatic for her?

Hmm - it might hurt her. You mean if there's another hole nearby you might be able to push her along to it a bit by putting something in the first hole? I'm not so sure about that. Has she stayed in the same place all along? ie she can't get further up into the wall can she? If not then maybe waiting it out till morning and see if she's in the bucket trap. Hard to know without seeing.

I agree with serendipity, in that you should wait until morning. It seems like a good idea to get her out quick, but at least now she's staying in one location, attempting to force her out could cause her to run off and you might never see her again. It's definitely quite a predicament you're in. Whatever you do choose to do, I'll keep hoping things alll turn out alright. Good luck and stay determined!

Yes, she is still in the same place. Thank you both so much! I really hope she comes back soon

I haven't been able to hear her lately, and it's been really cold. I'm really scared that she hibernated

Try and keep that room heated all the time - not overly hot obviously, just keep heat on in it so it stays about 20 degrees C all the time. She's probably just sleeping. Did she take any food last night? Or any sign of her having come out?

No, I had no signs of her coming out. We kept the one heater off because we were afraid she would get hurt by it, but it was so cold that we turned it on anyway. I put some food close to the hole just to check back and see if she's still there at all.

As night time is when they are most active, she may well have come out and be somewhere else in the house - or explored a bit further - can she get anywhere else in the wall do you think? Try not to worry.
