Photo upload issues
Just started this as there seems to be something strange with the photo upload facility on the forum. I had a problem with it the other day and it sounds like Coco had the same thing. When you go to upload the photo it says the file is too big. My file was quite small - about 250kb. But I shrunk it to 125kb and it was still saying too big. I think it said it needed to be under 160kb or something, so I shrunk it again. It then uploaded but only posted as a link rather than appearing as a photo at the bottom of the message box, as before. Clicking on the link led to the photo but it was quite small and not easy to see.
Previously the upload facility seemed to upload any size of file even up to a few mb, although those took a lot longer to upload.

I haven't tried uploading anything since the site was down but have been unable to see thumbnails any more with photos uploaded since then (old ones are still fine) just the link to click on.

This is what happens if I upload one of 70kb. No photo shows to move the mouse over and enlarge - just a link which leads to a small version of the photo.

I know it still works by doing it with copying the url thing with the yellow box ... Let me just try an attachment ...
Nope, attachments don't work for me either

It may be the limit allowed for files for the whole forum has been filled and may mean the mods or Fluffy may have to go to old old post and remove the photos there to free up space.
It doesn't seem to be effecting pics from photobucket

I have also been experiencing the same issue when uploading photos. I also can't change my avatar/profile picture as it says the photo file size is too large even when I resized the photo to 10 x 10 pixels.

Nancy it wouldn't change photobucket photos as they are essentially just external links & not on the forum server.
