New Fridge
This has absolutely nothing to do with hamsters but I went mad today and ordered a new fridge. It sounds a bit sad but I am so excited! Last night was the last straw for the old fridge. I had a large Tesco order arrived only to find the fridge door wouldn't shut. The icebox gets very frozen up about every 4 weeks and it takes ages to defrost and the fridge won't switch on again until it is fully defrosted (clever idea by the manufacturer, but annoying).
So I had to put all the food in a cold bag with ice packs over night. The cold bag was useless and I ended up wasting about £10 worth of food.
On top of that every time I open the fridge door the bottles fall out along with the bottle holder. This morning, as a four pint bottle of milk fell on my foot I thought - enough is enough! I need a new fridge. Ordered one and it's arriving in the morning.
It's a larder fridge and has no ice box to defrost yay. Suddenly I didn't mind the bottles falling out 10 times a day as I knew it was only for one more day and when little boy came home from school I said "Have you seen my new game? Open the door, bottles fall out, close the door, open the door, bottles fall out - but I don't care because we have a new fridge coming tomorrow". It was just to make him laugh really. Other half was saying - well maybe we could have fixed the bottle holder. Nope - you've had months to fix the bottle holder and said it wouldn't work so we're getting a new fridge. He then said it could take weeks to arrive. Nope it's coming in the morning at 9am.

Re: New Fridge
Well it hurts paying out the money but yes I am quite excited ha ha. I'll have a whole extra shelf and a proper bottle holder The thrill wears off the first time they need cleaning lol. Now I just want a decent cooker, a new kitchen and a new house ha ha.

Re: New Fridge
I hate our fridge, it's built into a cupboard under the worktop. I am irrationally jealous of your extra shelf!

Re: New Fridge
Lol! This one is just a freestanding one that goes under the worktop - nothing flash - but the extra shelf is where the icebox would be normally. I hope it works when it arrives eek!

Re: New Fridge
I remember getting my first ever washing machine ha ha. I sat and watched a full cycle for over an hour and got nervous every time it stopped for a bit. Mind you that was a long time ago
