hp laptop ....
Hi, I know this has nothing too do with hamsters that's the reason ive put it in the miscellaneous chat section.
I was brought a hp laptop for Christmas from argos and today the left mouse key has become loose. Its fully working but everytime I click it, theres a little clicking and squeaking sound that comes from it its under warranty for 12 months from Christmas but would hp cover that? as I say it was brought from argos originally.
I don't want it too get worse and then, them not cover it ?
thanks guys
ps: hope this allowed! :P

Yes, they have a 12 mo warranty. Just give them a call & they will ship you out a box & repair your computer & then ship it back to you. They also have 24/7 phone support for one year as well & you can buy extended warranty after the year is up if you'd like? I've always had HP Computers, hope you get it resolved soon!
They also can take remote control of your computer & troubleshoot. It's under warranty no matter where you bought it

Also, you could get a sepearte mouse to use. I have a "wireless" one - which has a little USB thing inside that you plug into the laptop, then turn it on and it's ready to go! I prefer it as I find the actual mousepad too touch sensitive for me and it NEVER does what I want it to!
But, yes, it should be covered under the warrenty

Re: hp laptop ....
Thanks guys! were going to Cannock in a couple of days so were going to see what Argos say then as they might do it for us or point us in the right direction... hopefully! It is a very minor problem, so it isn't really bothered me that much apart from the fact that the squeaking goes straight through me lol! the clicking is a bit annoying too haha! x I do in fact have a wireless mouse it came with the laptop for free along with a case I use it sometimes but prefer the mouse on the laptop, I find the mouse really sensitive! lol! Thank you for all your help! I will be sure to get it fixed as soon as possible xx

Re: hp laptop ....
Did you have an extended warranty through that store? Not sure what store that is being in US but I'm glad your getting it fixed. I would have sent it directly to HP but that's just cause of where I live. I didn't buy any warranty where I bought my computer.

Re: hp laptop ....
My HP has just bust, their fan capacity is appalling. Buy an air duster from pound land and give it a good spray by the fan vent every few weeks, I wish I'd done it with mine, they leave a big gap between the fan and the bit that gets hot and it fills chokka with dust and melts everything! My partner dismantled it yesterday and told me off big time :/
