Spring is DEFINITELY here!!
I am so excited because it really feels like Spring now!! We've had daffodils out the front for a while now but this morning I noticed some other flowers, though I don't know exactly what they are - maybe tulips? Our cat was sleeping on the windowsill in the sun today too (he's still not allowed outside otherwise he'd probably have slept in the driveway!). And I managed to go out today without a sweater or jacket - which is a miracle as I am ALWAYS cold! But, today the thing I saw which excited me the most and made me know that Spring is most definitely here is ... I saw some ducklings!! We have a river that runs behind the garden fence, another smaller one that runs through that garden (and somewhere actually runs into the one behind the garden LOL) and the houses down this road are built around a lake, so we usually have a lot of ducks and swans there. I only saw ducklings on the pond, but there is a duck nest on the river too. Not sure when the swan's eggs hatch though. Soon I hope Anyway, sorry for the random waffle! Just excited!
Although the shops have started selling barbecue things which means it must be almost Summer!

I noticed that today too, the bluebells in the woods behind my house are coming through, I've noticed tulips too Bluebells are usually the last ones to come through I think. There's also been birds nesting and showing that behaviour, I love the sound of birds singing. I'm loving how the sun is starting to set later now!

I've been feeling spring-ey for a while now as a dozen lambs appeared in the field behind my house! The lush grass and daffodils are everywhere. Percy got some grass the other day! It's all just very bright and happy.

Re: Spring is DEFINITELY here!!
Oh I LOVE lambs!!! I lived with this couple once on a farm and they had many lambs in the Spring. Once there was a lovely little white lamb with a black face who's mother died when ehe was born so we bottle fed her and she slept in the farmhouse kitchen at night time. I named her Skipety and she would follow me around which was just so cute! I was so sad when I had to leave there and couldn't take her with me!

Where did Spring go lol! We had snow here last night (mind you are very North and high up). There's a saying round here "never cast a clout until May is out". In other words - keep wearing your warm clothes until June! It was lovely here last week but still nippy.

Re: Spring is DEFINITELY here!!
Spring has sprung and the nest cams are up and chicks are hatching! Don't miss it! Here are some of my favs--all the nests in Estonia have beautiful settings and excellent cams-
This is the White tailed Eagles, a young couple with probably their first chicks! Two just hatched this week and a third egg awaits-- will it hatch? The cam is solar powered so goes dark when the sun goes away:
Merikotkas
Here is a beautiful black stork nest, I am not sure what the egg count is at the moment. The black Storks are endangered I believe:
must toonekurg
Here is my favorite Osprey nest. The female has just returned today from her winter in Africa! She awaits to see if her male has survived and returns:
kalakotkas
Here is the forum connected to those nests and more- it is English speaking but as a second language for many so be kind
Looduskalender
My favorite US nest of bald eagles here- this is good to watch at night because it is day in Minnesota then! I love these parents. They have two chicks about a week and a half old. The chat stream is very friendly too. Unfortunately the cam is down today for some reason but keep checking back

Enjoy!
