Giving up a pet.. :(
I can't really get into my emotions right now, long story short I have 5 fancy mice I can no longer look after, in the situation I'm having to get rid of either my mice or my hamster and I have a stronger connection with my hamster..I don't want to give them up but right now I have too..does anyone know where will take pets, does P@H's adoption centre take them and if so do I ring my local stores number? The last thing I want to do is advertise them online.

Look on Mice forums? someone with the knowledge could possibly like to take them on? and you'd know they're going to a good home
It is horrible having to do something like that, My mum did it to me when i was little, and she didn't even tell me. I just saw a man come and take my Guinea pigs away, I can never forgive her for it.

Hi charcobain. Look on here as they have a rehoming section but if you say roughly which area of England you are, you may get some replies on here.
The Rodent's Nest
Are your mice all female? x

Re: Giving up a pet.. :(
My local Pets at home keep a list of people willing to take in pets whose owners either can't/ won't look after anymore. It's separate from the adoption corner, I only found out about it by chatting to a member of staff. Hugs to you, giving up a loved animal is so hard.

I'd say avoid the P@H adoption centre as they can easily go to bad owners this way. I think that using The Rodent's Nest forum is a brilliant idea
You could also ask the moderators if it's okay to advertise them on the other pets section of this forum

Re: Giving up a pet.. :(
Hey there, I'm sorry you have to go through giving up your pets! I would call a few pet shops and ask if they knew any places where they re-home animals especially rodents. Maybe they could point you in the direction of a few adoption shelters.
If it comes down to giving your pets away online, make sure you ask for quite some money. They'll probably feel more obligated to take better care of them if they did dish out cash for them. I'm not sure if it's the same with rodents, but I know that some dog fight breeders are more likely to look online for "free" dogs.
I hope you find a nice happy home for your tiny friends!
