How long do I wait until I give up trying to get this rabbit?
So a few of you may have seen my other post in this section called 'possible new rabbit'
Basically, I found an adorable rabbit on Pets4Homes and got in contact with the owner. We were just sorting out a day when I can go and visit him and now I haven't had a reply to my latest email which I sent on Friday...
I was hoping to be able to view him on Thursday (29th) but at the moment, it doesn't look like thats going to happen as she's stopped replying.
I understand that things happen etc but how long do I wait for a reply for, before I give up trying to get this rabbit? I don't want to send another email in case it annoys the owner!
I did double check that the email did definitely sent-and it did send.
How long would you wait until you just stop trying?

I would definitely send a followup email, it's worth the risk of annoying them when the alternative is possibly just that they missed your last one or forgot to reply or thought they had replied and hadn't. Things like that do happen and really, how annoyed can you be by one email?

Re: How long do I wait until I give up trying to get this rabbit?
I hate getting in contact with people, like I was scared to even send her a message asking if he was still available! On the pets4homes website, when you click 'send a message' if you've provided the site with your mobile number, which I did, it also sends that to the person as well as another way to get into contact with you. So When I first sent a message, I was freaking out thinking they'd ring me and want to chat on the phone (which freaks me out, I have anxiety and my communication skills arn't good when it comes to talking to people over the phone or face-to-face)
I don't know what to say in the email without coming across as being annoying!

Re: How long do I wait until I give up trying to get this rabbit?
Oh my goodness you do NOT have to tell me about phone anxiety, I am exactly the same. I would take my number off the profile completely before I took a chance at having to talk to a complete stranger on the phone lol
Emails are one thing I can do, if only all things in life could be accomplished by email how about just "hi, just checking if you received my last email about your rabbit? I am still very interested if he is still available and just checking in since I haven't heard back from you. All the best hrl20100!" Short and simple and not accusatory or whiny or anything put smiley faces everywhere even so your message can't look anything but VERY FRIENDLY

I'm exactly the same when it comes to things like that! I agree with the follow up email just to let them know you're still really interested! Hope you get a reply because that rabbit was absolutely adorable!

Re: How long do I wait until I give up trying to get this rabbit?
I think i'm going to wait until Wednesday and then if I haven't heard anything, i'm literally just going to copy and paste what you said Shannonmcn! haha
Really hoping she hasn't changed her mind about rehoming him! She said she didn't really want to rehome him, but she needed to cut back on her rabbit numbers! What if she's already rehomed a few rabbits and now she's decided to keep him??! I want him! hahahaa

Re: How long do I wait until I give up trying to get this rabbit?
Okay so i'm pretty sure that the image on the advert... isn't actually the rabbit she is selling.
I just googled sooty fawn mini lop and scrolled down a little. I then see the exact image that is used on the advert, on google. I click the image and it takes me to this advert which was posted 2 years ago. 2013.
Help?!

Re: How long do I wait until I give up trying to get this rabbit?
The same advert that I saw on Pets4homes (the one I messaged the owner about) has been reposted on pets4homes... about 3 hours ago. Maybe I should send another email now and just see what happens.
Even though that image is probably not the rabbit she's actually selling, i'm still interested to see what rabbit she is selling. Who knows, it might just look very similar so she used an image off of google... I know that lots of lazy people do that :/

Oh that's sounding dodgy I would email now and see, it can't hurt but maybe don't get your hopes up too far. People posting multiple ads and being flaky with responses and and using Google pictures is giving me flashbacks to documentaries on puppy farms

Re: How long do I wait until I give up trying to get this rabbit?
I've sent an email and i'm not getting my hopes up. At the moment all i can think of is loads of rabbits being kept in awful conditions, in some kind of hoarder situation. She did say she needed to 'cut back' on her rabbit numbers!
Going to wait and see what happens, if i'm given the opportunity to go and visit, then i'll take it, but again, not getting my hopes up!
