LOL. Lovely topic. To join in, spiders don't really bother me unless they are really huge. Your spider BG would not be allowed to stay! I'd likely break my neck jumping out of the tub if it was on the curtain when I opened it. However, as long as they stay in their webs, away from me, I'm good. Should they decide to want to become a companion, I have ways to discourage this. See photos below. The one is a spider found in the tub *sigh* and the other is a centipede found in the bathroom sink. Hmmmm, there seems to be a pattern here. I now have to be wary of the bathroom.

However, I did get interested in Jumping Spiders as pets and actually have looked into getting one. They are fascinating. Photo below. Look at those eyes!

These were the super fun Spider's I grew up with (although I never came across any jumping spiders or bark spiders) : Africa's Most Dangerous and Scariest Spiders. Personally I was a lot more concerned about the snakes. When I lived in London I had a spider that lived in my kitchen, his name was Martin.

Ugh, I've only ever seen that type of centipede in one location. I normally am fine with bugs of all kinds but there seems to be a special creep factor with those ones!

And I love jumping spiders! They're the only ones I will let walk on me. I think they have the most adorable faces

That vacumn tube is the one I ordered after the thread about spiders and other creepy crawlies back a while ago BG. It really works.

I hate to kill anything but I just can't cope with spiders, they freak me out so much! I know we are probably way scarier but they send shivers down my spine. I think its the way they move so fast.

One evening I was home alone doing work at my desk and I saw something out the corner of my eye. One of those enormous spiders ran across my floor, so fast! Even after it was gone I kept getting skin shivers and I couldn't settle for about 2 hours after! That week was a bad week, we got about 4 in the flat that week and they were big old hairy ones. Little skinny legs are fine, they can sit in the corners and do whatever they want but big hairy MFs...nope!
