Default Mice

Does anyone here keep mice, as well as hamsters? A friend and I have a bunch of the little critters. There don't seem to be many mouse owners in Scotland.

There certainly doesn't which is a shame I think they are gorgeous wee things. I was judging some stripey ice in the Special Pets section of the Sheffield HAMSOC show. I would be very interested to see if there are many owners out there, especially in Scotland.

Well, there are my friend Fi and I:

You may notice that for some reason my Syrian hamster Sonic is described as yellow - I don't know why. He's actually cream.

There also seems to be a non National Mouse Club breeder in Glasgow.

Oh my goodness can I hire Fiona to do my website that is fantastic. Please let her know how impressive her work is, and invite her to come along and tell us all about mice, a sadly often overlooked rodent pet choice.

She is good, isn't she? I was amazed when I saw what she'd put together... I'll let her know how much you like the site, I'll be seeing her tomorrow. Disturbingly enough, she teaches the jitsu club I train at.

sadly, we can't get them to stay still long enough...

I would love a rex mouse, or an astrex. They are gorgeous.

I know one of our members (littlemissdwarfhamster) had some black and dove astrex mice and they are so beautiful. Really, really tempting

well, if you want some chinchillas or pink eyed white, you know where to come... they are so nice to handle, they cling onto your shoulders.

I have pet mice too. I have 3 right now, 1 male Jasper he is 1 year & 6 months old and 2 females (sisters) April & June they are about 5 or 6 months old. I got both girls at the same time from Petco, so I'm guessing that they are sisters or are at least half related .

Here is June.

April

This is the first day I brought them home.

And here is Jasper when he was 1 year old. I need to get more recent photos.

So Mr. Blue does not feel left out, I also have a male betta fish named Mr. Blue. He is in a tank with about 20+ snails. Here is his photo, that is either Ernie or Bert in the background. I named the first 2 snails I got, there now are way too many to name. Can't tell them apart anyway.

Where can I hide this?
