I have full blown conversations with my hammie, so I am glad to hear other people question their hamsters. My interactions include greetings and saying good bye when I go out. Also asking what she's doing like she's capable of answering.

I once taught a whole day of classes in my purple Winnie the pooh slippers! I only realised I had them on when I got to the school and didn't have time to go back home to change them. I dare anyone to try living that one down!

I bet the kids loved it! It's quite some time ago now but driving into town once I kept thinking something felt funny and realised it was the foot pedals in the car - looked down and I still had my slippers on - couldn't walk around town in slippers so had to go back home again. Ooh Katmick, you've just reminded me of an embarrassing experience many years ago when I was a student nurse. I lived in a nurses home flat - they were newly built in 3 storey blocks with two flats on each floor and the whole place had fire doors which would swing shut unless wedged open. I opened our front door one morning to get the milk in just my bra and knickers and the door banged shut (and locked with a yale lock) behind me. The 3 girls I shared with were all out on early shifts and my keys were inside. And it was cold! Luckily we had phones on each landing that connected with the hospital porters lodge so I picked it up, explained the situation and asked if someone could come over with a spare key. The Porter said he couldn't leave the office and I'd have to come over and get the key. I said I couldn't I was just in my bra and knickers. He said if I needed the key someone needed to come and get it. So I knocked on all the doors of the flats in our block and no-one was in. In the end I just psyched myself up to be brave and ran (outside and past the hospital car park and through the hospital) all the way there and back in my bra and knickers, giving off an air of 'yeah so what's wrong with this then?!' I pretended to be confident and as if it was all perfectly normal. A few people stared but luckily there weren't too many people around. Luckily I wasn't too overweight and had clean underwear lol. I was absolutely freezing. And from then on I was ultra cautious never to open the front door and get the milk unless fully dressed. Oh the bravery of youth! I couldn't do it now.

I've been to the corner shop in my pyjamas, I had a coat on over it and the guy served me trying not to laugh!

Kelsits - when I'm going out I'll tell my 2 to be good for mom, I'll be back soon and I love them!
You can imagine my surprise after saying this and opening my front door to the postie standing there saying he had mail for Archie & Twinkle. Yes, mail! Anyone who's a VIP with P@H gets a letter every 2 months with discount vouchers. The envelope is addressed to Twinkle and Archie care of .....
The postie must think I'm crazy!

The other teacher's thought it was the funniest thing ever! for ages afterwards if we had to go to meetings or anywhere they used to tell me "Don't forget your slippers!". I have to admit I was supremely comfortable that day. I think Serendipty gets the gold medal though for having to run outside in freezing cold weather in her bra and knickers!

Hooray! Another teacher! I am an English teacher. Anyway, Thin Lizzy, people do interact with their pets usually, it's just they don't get caught very often. Been caught a few times by My bfs parents who now ignore it and my bf who decides to answer like I'm talking to him "why yes, I am a fluffy cutie, thanks for noticing...." etc.

I'm going to be editing a video in the next few days (I find it a total pain as none of the software seems to be compatible and if I upload it direct to youtube it takes something like a whole day!) - in which I am talking to Charlie a lot. It seemed perfectly normal to me - but my other half thinks I'm bonkers lol! I showed him the video last night and he said there were too many long boring bits (which there are, which is why it needs editing), but he didn't find the funny bits funny either. I said - you had to be there! He thought I had knocked his house over and came out and glared at me and I said "I didn't do it! It was you!" and he went back in again with a flounce. But then other half works with animals (sheep and sheepdog) so doesn't have time to 'interact' with them as such. I know he has a soft spot though because he won't eat lamb.

Spent 40 minutes looking for my glasses this morning... I found them on my face! The fact that i couldn't have seen to find them without them should have been my first clue!
