Galaxy S5 VS 6 Plus

Hi guys...

So my phone contract ends in 11 days and I'm not sure what to get as my next phone. The phone i have right now is HTC One and i had him for 2 years so it's time to get something new. I was thinking either Samsung galaxy S5 or Iphone 6 Plus.

I have read reviews etc. On the phones but i want to ask you guys what's your recommendation. Or if you want to recommend a different phone then feel free to say it. The Samsung galaxy S5 is £33 per month and Iphone 6 Plus is somewhere around £48-52. Not sure exactly.

I myself prefer iphones, but there has been a lot of complaints regarding iphone 6 and apple update to ios8.0 . I had an iphone 4 and updated it to ios7. The phone played up and would not receive calls or phone out. i was using it like an ipod really. Not the ios8 is out and a lot of people are complaining that their phones are no longer receiving calls nor making them. ios7 also stopped wifi working on some phones. It seems Apple just put ios8 out without testing it fully and they have alreay fixed one bug, but not the right one.
Some people are complaining the iphone 6 'bends' when they put them in their pocket. I would have thought the glass would have cracked, unless it is make of plastic. They say it is too thin.

I heard about the ios update. That's the thing that discourages me from getting an Iphone. Where as Samsung runs on Android and to be honest i think Android is the best. I hate Windows 8 so that's why I'm not even looking at phones with Windows 8. But then people said that Samsung Galaxy S5 freezes all the time or randomly switches itself off while you're calling someone.

I love my iPhone 5 and don't have any issues with it. I loaded ios8 and haven't had any problems. I customized it so as to not see the contact icons at the top of the screen. I like the fingerprint unlocking feature. I played with my Sister's and Father-in-Law's Androids and found them to be unorganized and confusing, but I'm sure I'd get used to it if I had one.

Its totally opposite for me. I find Android very organised and neat and IOS very crammed with stuff thats totally unwanted. But i don't have any experience with the IOS8. My dad has Iphone 5 and says never again. He always bought Android phones but last year decided to get Iphone 5 as there was a great offer on it but he says it's rubbish compared to Android.

I think both phones have crap apps on them. I just put any unwanted Iphone apps in a folder on the second screen and don't have to look at them. I have all my apps nicely organized in labeled folders, like games, productivity, health.. etc. Not trying to sell it, but that's why I love it. Everything I want is on one screen, and I just touch the folder I want for the app I want, and leave out apps by themselves that I use all the time.

Also on the xperia you can disable any stock apps you dont want to use so they dont show up

I guess it depends on what operating system you like the best. I like the iphone but my kids and husband all have samsung. (s4's ) Have they fixed the stupid connectivity issues with the S5? We have a large house and need 4 routers to get internet coverage but while my iphone automatically picks up the best signal, the s4's crap out half the time and you have to manually choose the right connection.

Personally I won't consider the iPhone 6 if you can't keep it in a pocket without the shape warping.

I'd go for the galaxy. I have an S3 and I love it. Very customisable. Reliable and easy to use.
