I adore Angel Food cake and I recently posted here about a fast, easy, way to have a single serving of cake in about 4 minutes. First you take a box of Duncan Hines Yellow cake mix and mix it with a box of Duncan Hines Angel Food cake mix. I store this mixture in a gallon zip lock bag. Any time I want cake (like in about 5 minutes from now since reading this thread. ) I just put 2 tablespoons of the mix into 3 tablespoons of water in a coffee mug. I mix it until it's foamy, them pop it in the microwave for 1 minute. hey presto! Cake!

LOLOLOLOLOLOL! Oh lord, these beautiful cakes you guys make are are all so creative. Props are great! It's the idea that you made it special!!!
BTW: CORRECTION. I gave the wrong measurements for the instant cake. Oops It's 3 teaspoons of the mix and 2 teaspoons of the water. Big difference.

Re: ~~~~Cake?~~~~
Dr McK I have always wanted to try Angel Cake but bottled out of making it for our last birthday cake because it said you needed a special pan. I might try it next time though!

Re: ~~~~Cake?~~~~
There are some fantastic cakes on display in this thread. I can make a "normal" sponge cake or fruit cake but I have never decorated them although my mum used to make them to order a few years ago. Well done for your creativity.
As for eating cakes, my favourites have to be a well made carrot cake with frosting, and also coffee & walnut...although there aren't many that I would refuse but I'm not a marzipan lover, unlike my mum and sister!
Each to their own.

I forgot to say Danni - those are amazing! And those little silver balls bring back memories of childhood Christmas cakes to me. That is very clever.

Re: ~~~~Cake?~~~~
With this thread full of wonderful cake creations and Gazmo's delightful artistic nails thread from yesterday too, I am thinking that this winter I should re-acquaint myself with my glass paints and definitely dig out the 2 unfinished cross stitch designs in a bag under the table, just an arm's stretch away from where I am sitting right now!
