Smile Updates!

Hey! Sorry I haven't been on HC for such a long time, I've been really busy with school and all the exams which are currently happening I've had no time D:
But I have been occasionally checking on here, I just haven't had the chance to post much!

So as I've been so inactive I thought that I'd give you all a little update on the hams, and a few questions!

I'll start off with Peach and Cherry. So as I thought I'd change their ZZ2 setup, i decided to get them some more natural/wooden toys and accessories to make a more natural themed cage, to be honest this natural design kinda failed because as soon as I put there bright purple flying saucer in the cage the natural design just didn't work! But anyway they enjoy digging in their extra substrate and chewing the wooden toys so I guess it didn't all fail, right? and most of you will probably know they were "fighting" a couple of months ago (HELP no idea what to do!!??? ) but since they've lived in their ZZ2 there hasn't been a problem at all! I'm obviously keeping a close eye on them but they have been fine, in fact right now they are snuggled up together in their sandbath! Also they both can now sit on my hand without running away so taming is going great!

Now Pumpkin! Pumpkin scared me so much the other night, It was around 11pm and I was just going sleep... When I heard a horrible screeching sound which caused me to jump up, I immediately checked on the hamsters as I knew it must be them, as it was so loud Peach and Cherry could of never of made such a noise so first I checked on Pumpkin. To be honest I was expecting him to of fell from the cage bars and hurt him self so as I frantically searched around his cage for him i finally found him curled up in his bed, looking closer i slowly moved his bedding and he made the same noise again but not as loud, then that's when I noticed his front paws where moving! I quickly got him a treat and woke him up and he was fine! So now I'm thinking was he dreaming? Can hamsters dream? Or maybe was he just making that noise because he was scared? Anyway there I was at nearly 11:30pm worrying over Pumpkin and then having to wake up early as I had an exam first thing in the morning!! so I'm hoping I did ok in that exam... Haha! He is still chewing his bars, which literally wakes me up every night, and what's worse is that he's started chewing the end of his water bottle!!! I mean the noise isn't too bad but he gets most of his fur soaked from chewing at the spout should I give him a bowl instead? I'm worried about him knocking it over or him falling in it. Another thing he does is move ALL of his bedding/substrate to one side of the cage so that leaves one side over flowing with substrate and the other no bedding at all :/ I've tried filling the whole base up with bedding but nope, he still does it! Ahhh its a good job he's so cute... He's still my little baby though and its impossible to stay mad at him! Also he loves his new trixie wheel which I got him, he usually runs on it every night when he comes in his playpen. Hopefully before the end of this month he should get a new cage so his wheel can go in his cage 24-7. It's probably going to be the Alaska cage or the Barney, although I'm still not 100% sure!

And my other pets are all ok, however my dog did get neutered the other day so he's feeling a bit sorry for himself, but he's fine and I'm sure he'll be back to his old self in a couple of days!

sorry its so long

Thanks!
