I fel a bit sorry for her because she genuinely thought that she was protecting my hamsters from some digestive upset! When I explained that they were perfectly fine, she calmed down a bit and said she'd learned something new haha!
I have had to interrupt employees giving other people advice though. I once heard a mini duna being recommended for a TRIO of robos, saying because they were litter mates they'd be able to share the one wheel. And also had to stop a woman buying fluffy bedding because it looked cosy, and the employee was like 'oh yes, they'll love it'. Most people were happy I explained stuff to them, and the sales staff just looked kind of embarrassed!

I was 4 when I started doing this, haha, I'd go up to employees explaining things about all the wrong things they were doing.
The one I remember most vividly was when I was 5 or so, this guy at Petsmart was showing a lady goldfish bowls, and I walked up, and in my adorable-five-year-old voice said,
"Actually, the goldfish you're going to buy is a comet, which will live many, many years and need a huge tank with a filter. Then, as he or she grows, you will need a pond to put him or her in, and the filter on your tank has to be strong, by the way. And I heard you have an oranda? They can't live, or shouldn't live with the comet. Orandas are slow moving and egg-shaped and won't be able to compete for food with the comet. Speaking of food...."
And I went on and on... I'm pretty sure the employee left, lol. I actually convinced that lady to buy a 25 gallon tank for her oranda and another for her comet. Petsmart should thank me! Haha!

I'd have reported them to the better business bureau. Better, yet, channel 4 news. What a racket they have going!

Re: Lies the Petstore told us!
I'm not accustom to pet shop lies, because the only shop I go in is the one where I work. And I don't lie.
I'm brilliant.
