. I am so happy you found him. NO MORE FREE ROAMING! Since you really don't have a hammy safe home, and your grandmother is not pleased about him, he must only be in a hamster ball or a playpen when he is out of his cage. On your bed is okay too. Look at the WIKI, on the top left corner of your screen, or the DIY threads, to see how to make a fast, easy, cheap, playpen for him. He should always be supervised in the playpen. Every hamster owner has an escaped hammy at one time or another. We all learn to be extra careful with our furry friends. Tubby will gain his weight back soon enough He's probably glad to be home.

He was under the fridge, we didn't know where under the fridge since he came out to gnaw on the cucumber she left on the ground by accident. Then we setted up a peanut trail and he came.

And yes, I put him in a small vacant room with furniture that doesn't have holes on the bottom and are pressed tightly against the wall, plus I put a bundle of grass and sticks in the corner and maybe that'll attract him next time he leaps.

And I'll see about the playpen, there isn't a lot of pet stores in china, the closest one in my area is 15KM away. My mom's friend gets the mix for me.

I'm So happy, you found your hammy!!.. As far as a playpen, I use a large box, or you can put your ham in the bathtub, without the water and drain closed, of course- and let your ham play in the bathtub, as a playpen.

I've used cardboard boxes and clear plastic tubs for playpens. (:

I'm glad to hear your ham is back safe!

Trying to teach Tiny my fingers aren't food. I think Tiny is getting jealous of Tubby...... Yes, whenever I take Tubby out to socialize now adays, he starts gnawing on the cage till I put Tubby back in...
