Haha, yes!
I may need someone to fill in for me soon... Going on vacation and I don't know if I'll have internet. But anyway, did you know that ants never sleep? Also, they don’t have lungs.

Re: Colby's Animal Fact of the Day
-For every human in the world there are one million ants.
-If you lift a kangaroo’s tail off the ground it can’t hop – they use their tails for balance.
-If you keep a goldfish. in a dark room, it will become pale!
-Cows can sleep standing up, but they can only dream lying down.
Haha, as you can probably tell, I might give you more than 1 fact everyday...haha!

Re: Colby's Animal Fact of the Day
Are you sure about that blue whale tongue fact? According to Wiki a blue whale's tongue weighs about 3 short tons while an African elephan weighs around 7.5 short tons and Asian elephants weigh a little less than that.

Oh gosh. I don't know; I'm just typing things I've heard my whole life then, after checking them with a web search, I post them. I'll look into that, thanks!

LOL. These are really good. I have a very good friend who is like a human encyclopedia. She never forgets anything and has the most incredible font of knowledge. This thread reminds me of her.

Re: Colby's Animal Fact of the Day
-A grasshopper can leap 20 times the length of its own body.
-At birth, baby kangaroos are only about an inch long—no bigger than a large water bug or a queen bee.
-The smell of a skunk can be detected by a human a mile away.
Glad you guys like it!

LOL but ants are fascinating creatures! Have you ever seen the documentary about E. O. Wilson called "Lord of the Ants"? It's available to watch on youtube if you're interested. He's also written several books.
Colby, this is a fascinating thread! I hope you don't mind me taking issue with one of them
