My stepson likes to eat hamster food for some reason and kept nicking bits from the tub, he got me to eat a bit of all the different parts of my hammy mix including dried mealworms (he did the same) - it was a bit like a dare game. I have to say the most awful item was the black alpha pellets they are so RANK, no wonder none of the hamster eat them lol.

THE MEALWORMS!!! I don't think I could ever do that. You are a brave soul.

Re: Anyone else tasted chocolate/yogurt drops?
I have to admit that I love the rotastak milk drops! The chocolate ones aren't too bad but the milk ones are better. Whenever I give one to the hams I always have a couple for myself xD
I also tried some crunchy biscuit type treats once that weren't too bad. I think I also tried one of the alphalpha pellets once and they were disgusting!

Re: Anyone else tasted chocolate/yogurt drops?
You guys now have me considering whether or not to try one of Ted E. Bear's new strawberry yogurt drops. I don't imagine it'll hurt me. I'll read the label, then decide.

The milk drops don't taste too bad, the chov drops are alright at the start but dont have a great aftertaste the flaked peas in the hamster mix actually taste like peas!!
I love the way we are all admitting to this stuff as it is completely normal! Oh HC, how crazy we all are

Yes! My boyfriend thought I was weird when he saw me eating one of the milk drops. I just told him that I'm not the only one to try hamster food/treats and he said that it must just be a strange hamster owner thing xD

LOL. But then, again, Dilly, most of the folk I know think I'm strange for liking hammies. I can't win, so I might as well ignore them all.

Re: Anyone else tasted chocolate/yogurt drops?
That's true. I think my boyfriend thought I was strange when I first told him I was getting a hamster. He seems to think that they're the kind of pet that little kids have. Although I think he's starting to like them more and even picked out our new little baby this afternoon!

Re: Anyone else tasted chocolate/yogurt drops?
I don't fear the taste, I fear that if I try them I will think of them as a snack for me to munch on. This thread has been a real eye-opener, to what hamster owners get up to in their own time. The wild berry drops smell like heaven though x

Re: Anyone else tasted chocolate/yogurt drops?
I did it! They are GOOD! I can't believe I just ate my hamster's treat. Well, if he can have mine, he should share. They contain nothing I haven't eaten before. LOL
