Re: All because of my little fluffs...
Keep us updated Claire and I agree about time passing. I will be 49 next month and if I could turn the clock back, I would definitely be choosing to train as something worthwhile and also regret never learning to drive! So you follow your instincts. x

Re: All because of my little fluffs...
Well done. Great decision. I fancied training for something at the age of 23 but it would have taken me 4 years and I thought that was just an age so I didn't do it. Lol, now at 48 I realise 4 years is nothing. No point having regrets but if I had my time again I would do so many things differently! Not least, I would have started keeping hamsters earlier!
Really good luck, I hope it goes fantastically well for you.

I hope you enjoy it and everything goes well for you There's nothing worse than being stuck in a job role you don't really like anymore...all the work will be worth it in the end Good luck!

Re: All because of my little fluffs...
Thanks everyone
Realistically, I know there will be a time when that also becomes just 'a job' but I think as long as the actual passion and interest is there, there will always be new ways to revive it. Although I don't know if I would ever be able to detatch completely from little sufferer animals and their owners, but I think that'll ultimately make me a better vet to them. Someone who is not only trying to work out what's going on, but is doing so because they want to stop that animal suffering, rather than because that's their job. There's loads of blogs out there about the realities of actually being a vet. It'll be a tough lifestyle to begin with, but definitely worth it!
I'll be sure to keep everyone updated
