Ok everyone so I've been a huge animal lover since I was as young as I can remember. I've literally had tons of pets in my life, here is a list of everything I can remember
1. Dogs (5)
2. Cats (2)
3. Bird (1 baby I tried to save when I was 4 with help of my parents) it was without it's mother.
4. Box Turtle
5. Goldfish (feeder, oranda's and possibly fancy) Tons of them probably around 20 or so
6. Tiger Salamander (1)
7. Blue belly lizards (probably around 5 or 6)
8. African Land Crab (1)
9. Tree frogs (about 11, 6 got as tadpoles)
10. Unknown species of lizard (1)
12. African Dwarf Frogs (2)
13. Bullfrog (1)
14. Painted Mantella Frog (1)
15. Japenese fire belly newt (1)
16. Axolotl (1)
17. Rubber Eel (1)
18. Tons of tropical fish (probably about 200-250)
19. A newborn mouse I tried to save
20. A brackish puffer fish (1)
21. Leopard Gecko (1)
22. Green Anoles (10)
23. House Gecko (1)
24. Long Tailed Lizard (1)
25. Corn Snake (1)
26. Garter Snakes (2)
27. Water Snails (probably like 4-6)
28. Syrian Hamster (1)
Ok I think I've listed all the pets I've had.....anyways as you can assume growing up I always had lots of pets, at least several at a time. Well I have two right now Panda (Syrian Hamster) and Dylan my Pomeranian. I love my boys to death they are my babies, my world, my everything.......however lately I think I've really been suffering from "not enough pets" syndrome. Everytime I go to petsmart even if it's to get one thing I'm in there for at least an hour just looking at ALL the animals and I drive myself crazy....I seriously want a guinea pig, more hamsters, more fish, an eyelash crested gecko, a panther gecko, a russian tortoise, a tree frog, a japenese fire belly toad, a finch, etc. The thing is I have NO room for any pets that need to be kept in cages and Dylan HATES animals with a passion so we can't get another dog unless I take him for training courses. I just really miss having all those reptiles, amphibians, fish and all the odd pets I had. Plus I'm like seriously DYING for a hedgehog which is illegal in my state! Omg it's not fair! I wish I had my own house, if I did I'd have at least 10 more pets! Is anyone else on the board suffering from this???? LOL.
P.S. I'm dying for a bunny too!!!!!!!!

Re: I think I'm suffering from "not enough pets" syndrome!
Me too! If you look at my main thread in the other pets section( My Pets(and the crazy/adorable/annoying/perfect things they do) it's kinda hard to tell I would love to have more pets. If I could, I'd get:
- Another axolotl, I just found a new color I didn't know existed!
-Guppies!
-A dalmatian crested gecko
-Another dog(rescue)
-A mini pig(possibility this summer)
-a saltwater aquarium
-more guinea pigs, longhairs
-another Syrian hamster(possibility this summer)
- another rabbit
- ducklings
- a turkey for my chickens to raise(possibility this summer)
-a Spider-Man gecko!
-another green anole, I've had two and I loved them.
-another hedgie, but a white one.
-another tortoise
- and more turtles
Better get moving!

Re: I think I'm suffering from "not enough pets" syndrome!
I have loved hedgehogs since I was a kid and I want an african pygmy hedgehog more than I want to marry Shemar Moore ie a LOT I don't think the house I'm in would be warm enough for them though and realistically I don't have the space for an enclosure. When I move though, it's the first thing on my list!
I also want another puppy as dog shows is really my only sociable hobby and I want to get back into it. Again though, I'm going to wait until I move.
Mind you, with 4 hamsters and 2 dogs (and potentially 2 guinea pigs.....don't ask!!) I've got enough to keep me out of mischief

Re: I think I'm suffering from "not enough pets" syndrome!
OMG I'm sooooooooo excited right now! I have found some websites that sell salamanders and newts and have 100% guaranteed live arrival. They have tons of different species to choose from and when I added one to my cart and put my shipping info in, it didn't say they can't be shipped to my address! I'm so excited because in the future when I've got room for a cage I can get one. I will get a marbled salamander because they can stand the highest temperatures out of every species and being that I live in Southern, Ca. that would probably be the only one that would be ok in the summer time! Gos I want one NOW!!!!!!!!!!

All I can say is if you start playing pet care video games, you don't have enough pet love!

Re: I think I'm suffering from "not enough pets" syndrome!
I love all my furries but they can be a lot of work!
Before we moved cross country we had 2 house rabbits, 2 guinea pigs, and 4 hamsters. That is a lot of bedding and a lot of cleaning each week!
We had to rehome the bunnies with some friends when we moved but now we have 4 guinea pigs and multiple hamsters and I am DONE! No more, no matter how cute they are
I rather have less pets and spend more time with a few than trying to spread myself too thin with multiple critters. KWIM?
