Default Sink The Plant

I would like to introduce the newest addition to my family. Except he's not furry. Or scaley. Or feathery. He's....a plant. And he has a long story to go with him.

Well, you see once upon a time a little seed in some hamster food was about to go into a hamster cage. But he didn't want to be eaten! So he jumped into the sink, and got stuck! Over the next little while, whenever someone washed their hands, the little plant grew. Then one day someone found him. But because that person is a sucker for a survivor, she took the little plant, put him in a cup, and he grew and grew...... And now, he's gone from 2" to 10"! And has a white bloom!

And that, is how I ended up with Sink The Plant.

It's a legume, looks like a pea plant. Were there peas in your hamster mix? Great story

Legume? Reminds me of when I was in elementary school and was learning about plants and how they grow. During the course of the lesson, we planted Lima beans in plastic cups full of potting soil and took notes on the growth of the plants. When the lesson was over with, we were allowed to take our plant home. I planted mine in a huge pot that was in my bedroom and it remained growing for a few months afterword, eventually living out its lifespan and dieing off.

One of my favourite Canadian storytellers and authors tells one called "Tree of Heaven". It's available on iTunes for sure and also in book format. I think you would really appreciate it

Yes, my mom thought it was a pea too! So we took what we thing he grew out of and planted 3 more, the triplets. So we'll see if they look like Sink!
