Default Please help me be patient!

Hello again, it's great to be back here! I moved houses two weeks ago and I got Internet access just today. I have to say I missed the forum very much!

This is my situation at the moment: After my lovely hamster passed away, I got in touch with a good breeder just before Christmas to ask her if she would have any baby hamsters after the holidays. I knew I would be moving houses soon so I wanted to take that out of the way first and then get a new hammy friend. The breeder told me she did not have any babies at the moment, but she put me in her waiting list. Now that I moved houses, I contacted her again and still no babies because it's winter and they find it difficult to get pregnant

I don't want to buy a hamster from someone else as I have heard the best about this breeder but I am getting more excited by the day. The house feels a bit empty without a hammy! So my question is this: How do you manage to wait for such a long time? Any tips to make time go faster?

unfortunately you can't make time go faster.
All I will say is that she sounds like a good breeder and not a farm like person making hamsters have babies back to back, take comfort in the fact that when your little one comes along he will have come from a good background.
For time now all I can suggest is that you just hold thoughts in your mind of the lovely little one you are going to get, and take this time to get and perfect all the things that you need for your little one.

Oh, it is hard to wait, and I can only imagine how hard it must be to not have any hamsters at all!

I dont know, but you can always get stuff for the hamster, make the cage ready and stuff like that. But it is simply about waiting.
