A great solution for any spare sprays would be to lay a few over a bush in the garden and the sparrows will devour it. The sparrows need feeding at this time of year so go for it! I do this and I also buy loose millet for my feeder. You can pay it over some branches or on top of a hedge or even on the ground, but try and put them where the sparrows can quickly dash into a hedge from any sparrow hawks or cats if they are in the open. x

Aw, it's a shame I don't live closer to you I'd have bought it off you for my budgie and cockatiel. It wouldn't have lasted them five minutes.

If you lived closer you could have it free! I don't know anyone who keeps birds!

As racinghamster says, though, I'm sure the birds in my parents' garden will enjoy! Manchee hasn't so much at sniffed at the stem I put in his cage

I wonder if you can eat it. Millet is supposed to be very good for humans too and is rather tasty as a porridge...
