Aww, I'm very sorry to hear this 4 years is a good age for a gerbil though and he's had a wonderful life with caring owners. I will hope with you that he experiences some improvement in his symptoms!

Poor thing. Strokes and other serious illnesses can affect hamsters and gerbils badly due to their small size. I hope he recovers soon but know you have given him a lovely life. Does he live alone?

Hello Chulasweetchica. I am so sorry Chino is ill. A gerbil can recover from a stroke but he is really an old man now. I hope he can stay for a bit longer, so I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed. I've had many gerbils and they are wonderful little guys. Chino is adorable in his photo. Feel better Chino.

Yea he lives alone as his little buddy passed last spring, we keep him occupied a lot cause it was so sad. We got them both when they were little and they grew up sweet n friendly together.
Thank you all for warm***wishes.

Really sorry to hear about Chino. He will require rest and his water bottle/source low and his habitat kept easy for him to get around. Is he able to use both front paws to grip food with still? How is he coping? x

I am very sorry to hear this... it is alway hard when pets grow older and begin to show signs of age.

So far he is sleeping a lot. I have made sure everything is low and close to him too. I think he used both paws thou as I gave him his favorite treats. His left side is definatley weak almost falls over poor little fellow. We are giving him lots of love. He was very well lived here and we will see him thru. Breaks my heart thou!
Thank you all for the warm vibes**i feel them all the way here in Seattle :*
