Re: Hidden kingdom bbc1. Anyone watching?
Who watched the second one? Simon the Chipmunk was a total star wasn't he! The fact the chippies could 'pouch' the nuts was fantastic and the fight scenes played back in slow motion were actually beautiful - like a dance. I love this serious though one thing that I'm not sure kind of spoils it is seeing how they filmed it! I like to think they just filmed them 'wild' when in fact quite a lot is very staged. Amazing work though.

Those chipmunks were mad?!! So cute though. It`s just as well they have those nuts and trees around for stashing their food during winter though or the poor things would starve. I didn`t see all of the show as I turned over to watch something else I didn`t want to miss. It`s on iPlayer though. x

Re: Hidden kingdom bbc1. Anyone watching?
I was literally glued to tv love it. I'm only sad that these kind of programmes weren't available when we were younger but I guess better late than never is the case here.
Love little Simon and his courage and wondering when they are going to make programme about hamsters and squirrels ?!

Hi racing hamster. I tried to get the iPlayer but I was told it isn't for the USA. Drat! I tried to preorder the video but the site won't accept my address info. I tried about 6 times. *Sigh*. I emailed them and I will try to call them directly. I really want to see this show.
Tutu, you're making me green with envy

Iplayer works only in Uk I'm afraid. Even though I have it on my iPad I can't watch anything outside Uk you must get it somehow and watch it as I know you'd love it. Actually that little mouse I was talking about is from Arizona or Nevada ( your countryman) or somewhere very hot state. And chipmunk is from canada and other little thingies are from Africa and Borneo respectably it is really nice programme.
Good luck finding it.

Simon the chipmonk was amazing. I was fascinated by the similarities between chipmonks and hamsters. This is a lovely series, but I don't like spiders and other creepy-crawleys, so some of the non-rodent close-ups are making me squirm a bit!
